Grantown Visitor Badge Project

This is an initiative that is supported by the Cairngorms National Park, community and local businesses.

The history, stems from a willingness by local businesses to raise funds from visitors to the town to invest in environmental and sustainable projects within Grantown.

The project has been sponsored by the Grantown Business Association, whose members have the badges available at their premises.

The badge design, which is an impressionst view of the features reminiscent of Speyside, was created by a local artist. A number of individually decorated display boxes have been created by Business Association members, along with help from the Grantown Girl Guides. The display boxes can be seen at participating business premesis.

The pin badge, which can be seen here, is being retailed locally at shops, restaurants, accommodation providers, and other support organisations.

100% of the income from this project will be used to fund environmental and conservation projects within Grantown. All the businesses involved are giving their time for free to market the initiative.

Some intended uses are providing bat boxes, restoring footpaths, wildlife conservation, protection of habitats - all with a view to make Grantown a great place to live and visit.
