As you pass through the park towards the Spey, on your left is the 'curling pond' which was once the site of 'bonspeils' or curling championships.

If you decide to stay on the path, head under the road and end up at the River Spey --home to some fine fishing!

New Bridge

Walk along the side of the Spey towards 'the New Bridge', built in 1931, which was once Scotland's longest single span of concrete.

Continue past the bridge, keepign the Spey on your right and Anagach Woods on your left until you reach the Old Spey Bridge.

Retrace your steps and head into the woods up the old military road, accessing it through the small car park on right.

Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the native pinewoods, looking out for wildlife and special flora including mosses and lichens

As you exit the woods, walk up the road to the crossroads and turn right past Grantown Primary School which dates from 1889.

At the end of the road, turn right into the Grantown Golf Course founded in 1890.

Head back the same way, and turn up Burnfield past the Grantown Museum

After visiting the Museum, head up the hill, past the Townhouse and you are back in The Square!
